The internet is a wonderful thing. You can communicate with people arguably faster than ever before. You can find out ANY thing you could ever want to know. You can purchase items that would never be on sale in your home country. You can find out that those items exist in the first place. You can share interests with people in kind. You can argue with people half way across the world over religion. You can rick roll. You can be anyone that you want.

And people are saying that this is the best & worst thing about the internet; the anonymity. You can act like a complete idiot in YouTube comments. Given the distribution of vaguely intellectual comments to stupid/intentionally insulting ones, I would seriously worry about the way that our world is headed. Personally, I would never leave a nasty comment about someone (hell, I think I'm the politest/nicest Grand Theft Auto gamer), but I could. And I'd get away with it.

So instead, I'm straying to the (arguably) good side of the spectrum. I'm becoming anonymous to say what I really mean and feel, because in the real world, we're not ALLOWED to say everything all the time. I can't even act like myself outside, so where do I go? I'm anonymous here, and maybe the anonymous judgement that you (the readers) give me will somehow be easier to take.

This blog will be intelligent. This blog will be taboo. This blog will be sexy.
If you don't want to read it, then just hit the back button.
That's okay. I'm not forcing you to read.
I'm not forcing you to like me.

No, I'm not unique. I'm perhaps dead in the centre of cliché. But as much as we all hate being defined with that term, maybe I need to be that to be calm.

I warn you now... I write on a stream of consciousness, so perhaps I have no direction with my entries, let alone the whole blog. Not to mention in my whole life.


And so I end this entry (and my cup of coffee) on this not, watching my stream of words float off into the deafening silence of the internet...
